The Patsy Walkers

The Patsy Walkers are six vixens offering you a primitive kind of horror punkrock. The band´s trashbilly and garage influences in the vein of The Cramps, The Misfits and The Ramones combine  with their energetic and impressive live performances. This bunch of ladies are capable of putting on a stunning stage show, at the end of which you´ll find the sceptics singing along to one of their best known songs, “Rock Police”.

The band was founded late in 2002 when they, originally five girls with no previous musical background, put their heads together and decided the world should have the opportunity to share their musical visions with them. Drawing out of a hat, they decided which instrument each should grab, and soon found a place to rehearse in.

The sixth member – a keyboardist – came along in the beginning of 2007 to realize a wider spectrum of sound The Patsys had come to miss.

After training for four months - and kind of learning three chords - they decided they'd be ready to do a show, and that they did. In January 2003 The Patsy Walkers performed six songs to the sold out Semifinal (a club in Helsinki). Naturally they sucked, but as they still really enjoyed performing, the night gave them the kick to put some emphasis on the band.

Afterwards the band have shocked  and delighted audiences with hundreds of shows all over Finland and overseas too. During the years Patsys have had a chance to play with many great bands such as Mad Sin, The Creepshow, U.K. Subs, The Datsuns, The Flaming Sideburns and so on.

Their self-titled debut EP ”The Patsy Walkers” was released in May 2006 by Bad Attitude Records – a company that has put out records from artists like Hellacopters and The Flaming Sideburns. The sold out EP got good reviews and also drew attention abroad. The band's songs have been released on various compilations in countries like Australia and Italy as well as in Finland. They also recorded a song for a certain advertising agency and their music can be heard in a shortie called Pljik. The Patsy Walkers was also nominated in certain Finnish pop magazine's Future Dozen (a list of new hopes in music business chosen by the mag).

The Patsy Walkers are also something to see, not only a treat (or a trick if you wish) for the ears. The band´s visual image leans towards their favourite eras – the 40's and 50's.  This group of ladies have put effort on their looks from the beginning. Since the Patsys knew they weren´t professional musicians yet, they decided to at least look outstanding. In addition to music, dressing up has always been an essential part of their shows. The girls have performed dressed as Burlesque dancers, cave women, sailors and The Misfits just to mention a few examples. 
After touring Belgium in October 2007 the band took a little break which for different reasons lasted for almost two years. Late last year, however, they finally decided to regroup and continue with newfound intensity.  They have already done few gigs this year in Finland and there's more to come.

If you´ve seen The Patsy Walkers live, even if they occasionally seem to be hovering over unknown territory or bordering on the brink of catastrophe, you have to admit that this group always pulls through with a superb punk´n´roll show.

Now it's time for you to decide whether to duck and cover - or to voluntarily receive a blast of breath-taking female energy that only The Patsy Walkers can provide.

The Curse was formed 2007 by the bass player The Puke and drummer, Andy Lord.
They've played around with different bands for some years but never had the satisfaction to be in a great live performance band.
In the summer of 2007 they finally decided to form there own band. The wanted to play rock n' roll in the old MC5, Iggy Pop and The Who tradition.
They started searching for a charismatic front man and singer  and after many phone calls, parties and CD copies, they finally met Barry Lee.  They felt right a way that he was the perfect guy for the job. He had just been fired from his old band because he took to much attention on stage and did not fit into the bands more “laid back” style.
Through Barry they got in touch whit the guitarist, Ego T Superstar, who's a true live guitarist and deliver the right kind of rock n' roll style solos.
The Curse is most of all a live band and there songs are best performed live on stage.
The typical crowd who shows up at the gigs use to be Rock n' roll fanatics who love band like Ramones, Motörhead, Hellacopters and The Curse.

They are right now recording there debut album at the famous Sunlight Studio in Stockholm. The producer is Thomas Skogsberg (The Nomads, Backyard babies, Hellacopters, etc) and he will make sure that  it will be the right Rock n' roll sound.

C.N.E  (The Chuck Norris Experiment)

Gothenburg, Sweden

An experiment in rock that started out back in 2004. Records have been recorded, tours have been toured & booze has been drunken. So far this has given the band cult status in the better parts of Europe with an ever-growing loyal fan base. As far as rock bands are concerned, the C.N.E are leaders rather than followers.

This being said, the C.N.E are now collecting forces to put yet another iconic rock album on tape to be released early autumn 2010. Most of the songs are written and the album will, without exaggerating, be the best damn rock album ever to have seen the dark of night. This is a fact, not an opinion.

Fuelled with rock ´n roll abstinence and two new bloodthirsty band members the band will also tour Europe with an even flow of gigs during 2010 starting in April. Make sure to witness one of these shows as the band always keep their simple statement for live appearances; WE KICK ASS.

Smash it up

Smash it up started in late summer/ fall of 2007. It rose from the ashes of old school punk band A.M.P, founded by lead singer and lifetime punk rocker Crossler. From 90’s rising hardcore scene of Sweden and Gothenburg came the drummer Fastén (also in experimental hardcore band SOB and various free form jazz outfits) and guitarist Windo, both from Bubblegum Crisis. Completed with bass player -Z-, and being Crossler’s partner in crime for years the choice was obvious. Smash it up has since recorded the tracks for upcoming album “not aiming just swinging” due for release in August 2009, toured the UK and covered and done the local venues of Sweden, Gothenburg and is now getting ready for Europe, with the release of the album and a tour to follow up.

Smash it up is All School Punk, a blend of the Spirit of ’77 and anything that has went on since, the new, the old, and the vibrant and alive - no nostalgia, with their feet firmly planted here and now!
